Who else this Favre 98 ovr Brooks 89 are Over Rated ?

Favre has very similar Passing with Garcia over the last 2 years. But Garcia has thrown 10 less INTS and has ran for 475 more yards than Favre (Would be closer to 575 if Garcia wasn't hurt in part of 01).

Brooks' #'s should speak for themselves
Over the last 2 years 55% completions
Almost identical # of rushing yards (Brooks have a little better avg) (Garcia got hurt in 01 and din't run much the 2nd half)
Sacked 50 times in 01. 37 in 02 (Jeff sacked 34 times in last 2)

Favre is not a 98 anymore, more like an 88 to me.

Favre is still in the 90's...but I don't think he is a 98. He is still one of the best QB's in the league, and on his good days he IS the best.

Farve has never had that incredible season that would put you at 98 so in his best years like 92-93 he would be a 95.

141 rushes with an average of 4.35 yds and he was injured during the last 4 games of the season last year and didn't run or throw very well.

Jeff Garcia: 6,882 yds
602 rushing yds
53 tds
145 rushes with a 4.15 avg

How is aaron brooks overrated? The only thing that they are equal in is tds. And aaron brooks was injured for part of last year. And running quarterbacks typically give up more sacks.

Vick a 95 is comical
Alstott a 93 is ridiculous
Staley an 86 is too high
Favre a 98 is maddening

This discredits EVERYTHING else you say in this argument from here on out. You apparently have no idea what you're talking about. Brett Favre won three consecutive MVP awards, something no one else in history has done. Not only that, but look at the numbers...


1995 -- 4413 yards, 38 TDs, 13 Ints, Rating of 99.5
1996 -- 3899 yards, 39 TDs, 13 Ints, Rating of 95.8
1997 -- 3867 yards, 35 TDs, 16 Ints, Rating of 92.6

If those aren't stats that merit a 99 ranking, no one deserves it.

And frankly, he's still one of the best QBs in the league, if not the best. Pro Football Weekly does an annual poll of NFL personnel, and Favre is always the guy they want leading their team. He may not put up the same numbers now, but he's working with a ragtag group of WRs. Name me another QB who does more with the quality around him that Favre has. You can't.

Yeah to say Favre never has had a incredible season is pretty dumb IMO. Maybe he shouldnt be a 98...but he is still a great QB in the NFL.

I dont really think Brooks is overated...but when throwing out stats take into consideration brooks has thrown more passes which would lead to more yards usually and more INTs . Garcia also has the higher passing rating and is more accurate. He doesnt go downfield as much as Brooks so that has some to do with having a better passing accurcy.

Basically I think their both about right..if not you can change them. I wont do any changes. Its not that big of a deal to me.
