Did EA tone down the infinity engine too much?

Overall, to me the game (based on the demo) feels a lot smoother and polished but I feel like the IE is almost gone. You can still see it but I feel like they took away the gang tackling. last years demo the IE was too exaggerated but they got it right for the retail version. I hope they do the same for this years game.

I'm glad we don't see players tripping over each other because someone decides to get up.

I think so. I did get tired of playing Jackie Chan football.

It was over the top.

I just some of those new stiff arm animation can't be interrupted by another tackler.

I really feel the same. I find it hard to believe that they would remove gang tackling almost completely, but given the demo, it does feel that way.
I guess we will know at launch.
Honestly as long as there is gang tackling in Next Gen, i could care less if its not in current. I'll only be playing current until XBone drops.
And fortunately going by the demo, its satisfying enough to carry me through to
Next Gen launch.

IMO its the best ive seen of the IE so far. still some robotic transitions and a few wonky interactions but overall it feels the most polished so far. most of the interactions play out realistically. to me that's more important than having every single moment be interruptible.

Yeah, they did tone it down too much, seems as if they can't make it where there is an abundance of IE gang tackling and not have the goofiness after the play is over. Now IE is pretty much worthless.

I'd rather have people tripping up over each other post play and have realistic hits than have canned animations the whole way through.
