Get madden 10 for 5 bucks and have a blast. Make your own teams with player creation. I made my 87 Browns. 10 also has 100 Legends too that you can put into the free agent slots...

If you don't like the game, you don't like the game. Nobody has a gun to your head. If you need tips on how to enjoy it and need convincing to like it, maybe it's not for you.

I would definitely look for a good slider set. A good set of sliders really changes a lot of things in the game.....from how the players play to the CPU play calling. Jarrod21 has a really good set in the sliders forum for M13.

Beyond that, there are a few approaches you can take:

• Only manually play games every other season
• Only play divisional games
• Only play team with winning records

Like you, I hate playing the CPU. For me, the fix is online leagues as previously mentioned. I have not played a complete offline game vs the CPU in years. But I do enjoy the off season stuff online. Maybe playing a reduced number of games each season so that you get to the off season quicker will help keep interest up.
