Completion percentage =/= good QB. He doesn't have a good arm. Plain and simple. Stafford has a much better arm than Smith and it isn't even close. It's easy to have a high completion percentage when you never throw more than 15 yards downfield. Do you think Christian Ponder is a starting caliber QB as well? Alex Smith should be 80 or so. I think Stafford being 85 is a bit low, but considering his year last year it's understandable, I think he's closer to 88.

Just got to my first imported class, post draft. All the rookies have a Gatorade Toughness rating of 1? Whaaaaa?

Alex Smith's top receiver is Dwayne Bowe, Stafford's is Calvin Johnson. Stafford is one of the rare cases where the receiver makes the QB better.

I'm guessing Smith's high overall is in part largely because of Awareness which heavily influences overall ratings. Whatever else you think of Smith's abilities he should have a very high awareness rating.

That is a known glitch that only affects certain draft classes. For me it happens every time with the first draft class and then the second one is normal. But I will take the 0-1 toughness over the pre-made draft classes any day. I used them once and out of the 20 or so QB's in the draft class 15 of them were from non-traditional football schools, mostly FCS schools.
