Coach vs Owner in Franchise mode

What is the difference between Coach career and owner career in Franchise mode, BESIDES the owner beingv able to relocate team and stadium uogrades etc??

As the owner are you able to do everything the coach can PLUS the stadium stuff or is there a difference?

Owner mode is everything coach mode is but you can hire/fire head coach/trainer/scout, set the prices on concessions/merchandise/tickets, and have the ability to relocate/upgrade.

The only benefit to playing as coach is if you don't want to have to do the micromanaging of the concessions and such.

I'm curious about this as well. For either mode, or is there a mode where you actually COACH the game and the CPU plays (CPU vs CPU including kicking and FG's).

They have this option in NHL 14 (and 13), was wondering if it's in this game finally?

Also it should be noted that if you play as a coach you can get fired, whereas, as an owner, you cannot.

For my online league, we prefer that as a feature since many years in, users get new jobs, new challenges and new divisional foes and matchups.

So, I consider that the main sell of coach mode, frankly.

Yes, if you go into the owner tab and go to staffing you can press A when you have your head coach highlighted and spend his experience points. Basically works the same as before. I assume that your coach will earn xp from game to game (I haven't played a game yet haha) but I do know he gets experience from practices. (your entire team does, which is a completely broken feature)

Re: Coach vs Owner in Franchise mode

As the owner are we able to fire a coach is during the middle of the season? I like the feature of being able to get fired as a coach and switch teams. It can add longevity to playing time. Whereas owner mode it seems that I am stuck with the one team for the duration of my franchise.

I thought about controlling two teams won as an owner in another as a coach, but I really don't want to play all of those games.

I didn't pick up last year's Madden so I'm curious in connected franchise no matter if I choose coach or owner I still get to play in the games right?

Correct. No matter if you're a coach or owner, when you go to play the game, it is as if you are playing a "play now" game.

Is it me or if you are a player/coach u should play as normal like "play now" but if your the owner shouldn't u not play the games, this is were I would like to see cpu vs cpu come into play. I know this has been discussed before on here that is cpu vs cpu ( I like to see it come back). Just wondering your thoughs?

Can you choose coach mode for your games as coach or owner? If you want true owner mode just sim or watch games and do all owner/gm duties though.

Re: Coach vs Owner in Franchise mode

I am guessing by another thread that you can no longer do the CPU vs CPU or just be able to sit back and call the plays. I admit I suck at controlling the player and always loved the aspect in Franchise mode do to the coach calls only. So in reality I guess the only way to possibly do this now is by controlling all 32 teams?? or can you even do that?

Its coach mode and it's in the game. You can sit back and just call the plays. The CPU vs CPU thing isn't in there for franchise mode so people are upset because they have to call the plays instead of just watching the game. You don't have to control all 32 teams to do this.

Is there a any difference between CPU vs CPU and coach mode where you just let gameflow call the plays all game long?
