Xbox live gold required for official roster updates?

For madden 25, is live gold required for roster updates from EA? Game patches, too?

Or, will it work under a silver account?

Title Updates(patches) are not locked under any account restrictions. As far as official roster updates, I'm not sure.

You should be able to download it as it's in the patch category. Unless it considers it part of playing online since it's meant for online play.

WOA WOA WOA Since wheeen? You need a Gold account just for a Roster Update? 2K has the whole 2Kshare available, I am so glad I saw this because I was about to pick this up on Friday but I don't have Gold so I guess I'll get it for PS3 this year.

That's a shame... it's terrible what money has done to the gaming world. You now have to pay to fix the game and keep it updated pretty much. That makes a whole lot of sense...
