Disguise Cushion is a wonderful addition

Kudos to EA for making this seemingly small addition. Using this really helps the defense sometimes.

Its in the pre snap coverage adjustment for DB's. It works great and helps with curl routes a lot.

Makes the QB think there will be this huge cushion like playing off but instead of backing up after the snap they move forward or wait for the WR to come towards them.

Put your corners in press coverage, then disguise cushion. You will see that they do not press the WR but instead give a clean release. It helps to stop the short routes (curl mostly) while lessening the risk of playing bump and run

Does it work if you individually press corners and play off?

I am unsure. So far as I know, it sets it so that the corners who are on the LOS right over the top of the WR do not attempt to jam the WR. What I am unclear on is whether order matters, e.g. set disguise coverage then individually press a CB -- would the corner jam or not? I do not know.

I would not recommend using this in zone however

I think a guy was doing this to me online today, it's vulnerable to streak routes though, I guess you have to know when to do it.
