Calvin Johnson Jr.?

I've been searching for this answer for a few years now but I can't find a definite answer. Does anyone know why EA adds "Jr." to Calvin Johnson's character in Madden?

He's a junior in real life, but his real Lions jersey only reads "Johnson."

There use to be another Johnson WR on the lions years ago and EA got lazy and never took the JR off when he left

This has been answered multiple times but Calvin Johnson asked for it to be added. I'm too lazy to look for the thread that shows this but if you do a search for it you should be able to find it.

That's what I was wondering too. They added "Jr." back when they said people online were getting confused because Bryant Johnson was on the Lions roster too (even though they wore different jersey numbers). I would have thought that when Calvin was the cover athlete last year someone at EA would have noticed, so I assume there has to be some for why it's still there.
