When starting an offline owner franchise, if we wait for the 53 man week 1 roster update, will a bunch of fake players be added to each team because of the expanded preseason rosters? I'm trying to decide if I should just start with the accurate preseason rosters or wait for the week 1 rosters. Posted in Q&A this morning, but no response yet. That thread is slowing down so I'm trying here.

I started mine..I was pretty dead on with my cuts..way I see it is that the computer is so active in cuts and signings that the roster won't be accurate for long anyway

But if we start with the 53 man week 1 roster update, will a bunch of fake players get added to the preseason in franchise mode? Or in year 2 and beyond do a bunch of fake players still get added for the preseason even when using an imported draft class?

There are a decent amount of udfa and cut rookies in year 2 when you use an imported draft class from NCAA. If you're looking for a starter roster to play with before EA releases theirs, look up allufa53man if you're on psn. Not sure if there's a good one on xbl.
