I just simmed a season to see what all the buzz was about and it is as bad as advertised. I've never seen EA do a patch for sim stats but they really need to rethink that. Here are some of the out-of-whack stats.
9 Qb's w/300+ att's and a comp pct less than 50% (0 IRL, in fact there were only 4 below 55%).
3 Qb's w/ a rating above 90 (10 IRL, not too bad I guess)
5 Qb's w/400+ att's and less than 10 td passes (0 IRL, there wasn't a qb with 300+ att's with less than 10 td passes)
16 fumbles combined by all qb's in the NFL (IRL, RGIII and Vick combined for 16)
W.Welker 150 receptions for 2,194 (IRL both would be NFL records)
6 defensive player w/4tds, 13 w/3 (IRL there was 1 w/4 and 1 w/3)
21 punters with 100+ punts (IRL there was 1)
I will say that they seemed to clean up a lot of holes from last year but now there are some more. Last year special teams stats were flat out broken (way too KR,
PR tds, mindboggling amount of blocks). I guess the most frustrating part about sim stats is that it seems so easy. You have years of historical data at your disposal and yet we get qb's with cmp pct's that would get them out the league faster than T.Tebow.
Just curious has anyone done a compare/contrast between EA rosters and user rosters? The sim I did was with a user roster. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Also, what about sliders? I know last year sliders had zero impact on sim stats.
