Every WR in Madden = Welker in real life

Maybe next year they'll have a defensive player on the cover and introduce improvements to the defense. Or they should at least. lol Something big like the hot stick for the defenders, just to make the sides balanced again.

Wait, you see 5 or 6 punts a game??

I'm not sure if I've seen that many in all my games combined.

You've obviously never run a hook or an out route.

I would disagree that every WR is like Wes Welker, just from personal experience, because I see a significant difference between, say, Dez Bryant and the rest of the receiving corps, and the same goes for other teams. But you're definently right with the Peyton Manning comparison - on default sliders, I notice almost no difference between an accuracy rating of 82 and an accuracy rating in the 90s. It makes the difference between controlling Matt Schaub and controlling Tom Brady negligible. If EA lowered the default accuracy slider, we'd probably see a bigger difference between good and elite QBs.

This. A thousand times this. There isn't a noticeable difference between players in Madden in general. Custom rosters definitely change that. But on default, Terrelle Pryor might as well be Cam Newton. I could go on and on. But the separation just isn't there and sadly, it probably never will be.
