Any easy solution to this would be to play with the speed threshold slider until you get what you like

seems to me that after my guy catch's it, if I zig and zag him a bit it seems to give him a burst forward as well.

I rarely if ever see this on the faster speeds, but obviously this is not a solution for people that want to play on slow/very slow.

Yeah and then the wr gets that fatigued when tackled he gets injuried and is out for like 6 weeks

Re: Why are my receivers slow after the catch?

I have learned to jam the speed burst button after the catch....for example when i run an X spot pass play and hit the X wr..he is sitting there waiting for the catch. From a completely stopped position. So it is realistic That I hit the speed burst to get him going.

I can see why they removed auto sprint. And I am happy they did.

It's working as intended.

Re: Why are my receivers slow after the catch?

I struggle heavily with this. pass receiver wide open, makes the catch but every time I try and turn upfield, my player always takes the worst possible turn and the animation takes forever.

I long for the day that EA learns that the human controlled player should never be cpu controlled at any part of a play..

Re: Why are my receivers slow after the catch?

Its awful. It's impossible to hit a receiver in stride alot of times and have him carry on through the catch and the route and actually progress down the field after the catch.

Also when it happens to a RB in the backfield after taking a hand off, and my RB is just standing still almost like he's in quick sand only to get drilled in the backfield. Just frustrating.

It's happened to me playing on slow, and on normal.
