Will NCAA developers now be working on Madden?

So with EA Sports NCAA Football game being canceled does that mean all the developers from NCAA will be moving over to the Madden development team. If this is indeed the case then this is nothing but great news for the future of Madden games as I would think the more developers the Madden team has the faster new features can get in and more bugs being fixed and so on.

Dude.....NCAA being cancelled is lost revenue. Madden sales are down and it's unlikely they want to add to the Madden overhead. I wonder if most of these guys aren't looking for a job today.

According to Cam Weber, most of the jobs will be saved.

The overhead was all under one umbrella, Tiburon.

I'd suspect this to be the case too. I don't foresee them adding to the Madden staff.

Statement says they are working to retain the talented people elsewhere within EA.

Talented people = senior staff who been with us the longest. Anybody else who been here less then 6 years will get the pink slip. That is usually how it goes. EA Sports organization is spread around the world.

I would want to be a fly on the wall during the conversations of hey honey my team got dissolved, but they offered me a job in Vancouver. Pull the kids out of school, quit your career and pack the bags. Talk about head ache city. Wives get attached to places, especially when the kids are in a good school system already.

The "talented guys" will get jobs on other projects throughout EA. The others will get recommendations to other gaming studios.

would be cool if the BackBreaker producers said "here is our engine, use your experience developing FULL football games..and create some magic" to some of the key ex-NCAA devs.
