in breaking out breaking routes

I know that this might be self explanatory but what is considered a in breaking or out breaking route? Would an in breaking route be a slot running a slant or a vertical, curl? A out breaking route would then be a outside wr running a comeback route? Would his vertical be considered an out breaking route? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

A vertical/streak doesn't break anywhere. Every other route, at some point, has the WR turn towards either the middle of the field or the sidelines. Doesn't matter if he's in the slot or split wide.

Curls, ins, posts, slants, drags, etc are all in routes. Corners, outs, etc are out routes.
