I'll take a stab...

A few years ago EA, in a fit of absolute madness, started making promo/contest winners or make-a-wish folks into characters in their games. Basically win a contest or be a kid and your last dying wish was to be in a video game and bam, EA makes you into a player in their game, typically rated 99 overall or crazy stats like that.

So, it looks like there's three dudes who must've won something and EA made them players in Madden.

Which is a weird contest to win, because it will essentially make you vilified by everyone on OS and players of Madden everywhere because your name and your fat face are in those free agent pools when you start up a new game and they can kill the "realism" or emersion if you forget to delete them... and if you forget, most people come on here and are all like "WTF??? WHO IS JOHN KLEIN??? I HATE THE MF'ER!!!"

Happen to me in my Be-A-Pro career in like NHL '12... some indian girl (goalie) and I are the best players in the NHL by 2016. SHE TOTALLY RUINED THE REALISM!!! It was only supposed to be me!!!

So these characters are implemented into CFM?

These could be a problem if they like do extremely well... it completely kills the realism for me.

I mean I'm sure they're fun to play with but they don't exist in the NFL...

EA should have just made them Free Agents outside of CFM and just for use in the Play Now and roster
options.

I'd say just change all their ratings in the roster file and load that. Problem solved.

That's funny that you guys avoid these people. I've always added them onto my team, especially when running a franchise/career mode because after four years of draft picks all the imports are randomly created anyway. I have Blumberg as my goalline/short yardage back and I moved Sentef to SS to help boost his ratings.
