CPU v CPU IS in Madden 25 (EA fail)

So, this is the first time I've ever seen this but today, i turned on my PS3 and started Madden. I got a little busyaround the house so the game stayed on the M25 main screen (press start screen) . After about 15-20mins I come back to the TV only to find the Steelers tying the Packers 7-7 at the end of the 1st quarter. I stuck around to watch and wow, what a surprise it played great and with the broadcast camera. Variety in play calling, defense would get good pressure on Rodgers but he would make some amazing last second throws. It was great to watch.

So how is it EA gives us the BS that CPU v CPU would be impossible if I just witnessed a game!? EA fails yet again.

Sorry if you guys knew about this. I knew the old games would always "timeout" after too much user inactivity and show a CPU v CPU game. but I thought that was removed completely.

if u don't press any buttons after awhile it starts up a game and its possiable because its in the "PLAY NOW" mode. cmp vs cmp isent in ccm mode.

Wow. I never use Play Now kmode so I didn't even know you can spectate a game till now.... Lol fail on my part also . that makes it even worse that EA included it in the game but not on CFM. WOW!

Thanks for the correction. Closing thread.
