Top 5 Defensive Attributes In Madden 25?

Hey guys, i love doing CCM as a coach and building up a team such as the raiders, the thing is im trying to figure out how to "craft" the most effective team (especially defensive secondary, I <3 CBs). Im trying to get a vivid picture on what attributes do and which are most effective on the field for instance, what makes a CB jump a route for 6, is it AWR or PRC or MCV? i know there are sleeper players all through the league and also in the drafts in CCM and i must have them!

Im asking you guys if you had to pick 4-5 major attributes for each position including everything but age and Scheme/playstyle,(i.e.,Height, AWR,POW,PUR,Speed,Acc,etc.) what would they be? Basically on-field production is what im asking for aka making plays not just by me but on their own!! lol

    DLine: ___,___,___,___,___
    LBs: ___,___,___,___,___
    CBs: ___,___,___,___,___
    FS/SS: ___,___,___,___,___

Dline: Finesse, Acceleration, Blockshed, Strength, Play Recog
LB: Speed, Pursuit, Tackle, Play Recog, Awareness
CB: Speed/Accel, Man, Zone, Play Recog
Safeties: Play Recog, Zone, Speed, Pursuit, Tackle

There's other ones that are important obviously, and this list was actually hard to make. I definitely value PRC over AWR, but AWR is important for guys that you expect to make tackles in coverage.

One thing I would say is that in general Acceleration is more important than Speed on defense as it's often more important for a defender to be able to get to top speed quickly to cover a short distance as quickly as possible as opposed to having break away speed.

Play recognition, pursuit and acceleration are three Iook for at any defensive position. Block shedding for Dline and LB. Speed for CB and tackling for safeties. Sorry I didnt use your format...

DL-Play Recognition, Block Shedding, Agility, Tackle, Power Moves

LB-Play Recognition, Block Shedding, Tackle, Hit Power, Zone Defense

DB-Play Recognition, Man Coverage, Speed, Zone Coverage, Pursuit

I don't favor finesse moves in the DL, speed at LB, or press coverage at DB unless he has high strength already. Play Rec=awareness for defenders and, imho, block shedding is an absolute must for defensive pressure.

If you play in your own personal CFM I also recommend dumping everyone over 29 years old and collect all the under 24s you can that have high physical attributes like speed, agility, and strength. Everything else you can train for cheap.

Yeah, young guys with good physicals are amazing. You can get them a lot cheaper than the older guys. I have one DT with power moves, but I find my finesse guys get more pressure on the QB. It probably has to do with other factors though. At least in this year's finesse moves work well.

I honestly only know the Seahawk's ratings.

Sherman is in the top. He's got great man and press coverage, ~90 zone, ~75 catch and great physicals.

Other than that, probably just the guys you would assume. There are some sleepers around that only have good zone or man coverage, so their overall is lower.

Re: Top 5 Defensive Attributes In Madden 25?

So what do you scout for each position? Since we only want to scout the attributes they cost more to upgrade. We would naturally want only players that have a high amount in these attributes. We understand that spd/acc is good for CB plus man, zone, pur etc... as well. Since the others don't cost as much to upgrade it doesn't matter what they necessarily have in those skills. So... If I am using this thought process and I only want to go after expensive skills when scouting, what would you scout for each player. My thought is here that in order to scout as many players as possible, I would only scout a few attributes on each player to determine if he is a good player or the possibility of him being a good player. So I am going to list each position and what I think should be the attributes that I scout to see how close I am. Any advice or help.

                    QB - SPD/ACC/THP
                    HB - SPD/ACC
                    WR - SPD/ACC
                    TE - SPD/ACC
                    OL - STR
                    DE - SPD/BSH
                    DT - STR/BSH
                    OLB - SPD/ACC
                    MLB - SPD/ACC
                    CB - SPD/ACC
                    S - SPD/ACC/HP

Yeah I know a lot of speed. I figure that these are some of the most expensive skills to upgrade and it seems to that speed/acc are so important to a lot of players whether they are on defense or offense. Let me know what you guys think. Is this correct? I am trying to get my draft skills down and would like to do this without using a cheat guide. Thanks!

I've always valued speed the most, more so at skill positions. If you have the fastest team you'll have a leg up from the start, in my opinion.
