schemes in coach mode

When I look at my roster in coach mode, each player has there own overall but when I play a game and go to my depth chart, everybody's overalls change. Some get better and some get worse. Gronkowski is a 93 overall for me but he is a 99 overall when I look at the depth chart when I enter a game. I changed my tight end scheme to every possible thing and he won't get to a 99 overall. Can anybody help me with this?

Re: schemes in coach mode

In Game overalls are extremely different than scheme overalls

In game means how they really play and what level they are at, Scheme Overalls just show if they fit your scheme or not, players who fit your scheme get extra XP, it's generally a good idea to find out what kind of player your starters are and adjust your scheme to that so they maximize XP Gain.

Hot / Cold Streaks also play a role in the OVR during a game. Those "higher" or "lower" numbers can be attributed to what kind of streak they are on.
