MADDEN 12 OR MADDEN 25

Previously I said the gap between M25 and M12 was wide - in favor of M25.

I'm going to throttle back and say that M12 did have alot going for it.

I really like the M12 player models - they look like NFL players. Sometimes I feel like M25 models are too small. The menus and ease of navigation factor is big to me and I feel like it could be the classic "less is more" but M12 menus are nice.

Roster control - I'm a fan of not having two different rosters between play now and CCM - Madden 12 gives you a great level of control.

I do appreciate the physical/fundamental play and player control in M12.

The passing game in M25 is WAY ahead of M12 - from catch animations and throwing trajectories. CCM is more interesting than the old mode - however the old mode does give that "meat and potatoes" feel that isn't bad either.

Overall, I'm going to say M25 is better but M12 is a close second. Which leads to the question - Why couldn't EA just build from M12's foundation, improve the throwing/passing game, implement CCM, and go from there? Why did we have to deal with M13? ugh.

IMHO, M12 was pure garbage. M13 was worse. M25 is the best Madden since M09.

I sold my madden 25 back to best buy about 10 days after I purchased it...

Playing Madden 12 right now, and still loving it.

I still play Madden 12 because I thought 13 was the worst Madden ever, and I have not even tried 25.

how is the pass rush from the left side/blind side in madden 25, both siiming stats and gameplaywise? past maddens years versions i hate how you have the RE getting all the sacks!

Doesn't being an arcade game make it more like real life NFL these days? All I can think when I see NFL games is this is how I used to play Madden 10 years ago(50 passes a game 5,000 yards per season etc).

I play '12.They pretty much ruined 25 with the ridiculous unretirements and the number of very early retirements.

Yep, I initially thought M13 was good - but the more I played it the frustrated I became.

The thing about M12 is you really do know what your getting. Decent, not great gameplay and a meat and potatoes franchise mode with total control.

Sometimes the passing mechanics and limited catching animations get old but its not a perfect game.

M25 is a HUGE step up from 13 in terms of CCM and playability. The random speed bursts by CPU pursuing defenders gets old but again...its Madden.
