If you're getting run down unrealistically then lower your threshold. I am playing between 32-36. 36 seems to be good allowing breakaway speed but minimal outside run cheese. 32 I had 2 punt returns for a td in one half. Might have been a fluke but haven't had a single return td at 36. Broke good returns but was tracked down. The tough part is the more threshold difference the more opportunities for people to get one block and take it to the house. @ 36 I recently threw a screen pass to MJD and he got outside. Had speed burst to take it 68 yards without a de zipping up from behind. Kind of an off-topic reply but something to consider.

Just found out that if you change a HB to a FB in the offseason, it is cheaper to upgrade their speed. So if you do want to upgrade speed make sure you do this to save some XP!
