I haven't heard of players changing position by the CPU.

Then again you can't even change the players positions during the season.

Is this in your franchise after a whole season has already been played?

You can change positions during offseason, anytime before preseason week 1. just go to roster, edit player. If you do it during the season you can only switch between ROLB/LOLB, LT/RT, etc.
