Why Did EA Castrate Their Custom Classes

Key attributes are completely below what is acceptable for a vast number of players in the EA custom classes - Receivers with 74 speed and tackles with 66 strength.

Was this intentionally done and if so, why?

On a related note, Custom Draft Class Builder could be a golden gem for the future of Connected Careers.

IF I had to guess, I think they made the draft classes with being able to edit all positions in mind. Like that slow as molasses receiver has more TE like stats. But since they limited the position changes so much it kills the point of having some rating that are completely off for a lot of drafted players. That's just my guess. Also adding in the ability to edit build or at least change weight would help with realism with some of those really wonky drafted player sizes.

Remember when Chad Johnson/Ochocinco started kicking XPs as a lark? And they gave him enchanced kicker stats on Madden? Only you could never sub him in as a kicker, so it was as useless as tits on a bull?

Good times?

These draft classes are absolute trash. I used to covet draft picks in leagues. Now, unless it's one of the few studs in the draft, I'm trading for actual players.

Madden 10, All-pro, fast, speed threshold at ZERO... 30 custom classes that have a life of their own, in a 32 team WFL/USFL/AFL league with generated players and created stadiums, conferences, rivarlies.... The best pass-time for the summer... And the BEST QB in the world..KELLY JAMES-Miami...

I''ll never forget the experience...I
