Slider to somewhat emulate NFL pre '78 rules?

Using some historic rosters and trying to get a decent gameplay/watching experience for that time (playing some games with pops and uncles)....Need some slider ideas to represent the time before offensive linemen could use their hands to block and the MEL BLOUNT Rule was fully enforced. Obviously, after watching some games that my elders have on vhs/dvd, it was a much more physically intense version of what is played now.


So far, I have done the following:


-Set PASS BLOCKING for HUM/CPU to 0.......this in particular is working
-Set ROUGHING THE PASSER to 5
-Set both Off/Def PASS INTERFERENCE to 0


Anyone with some knowledge to impart (or who was alive and watching games at that time) care to make any further suggestions/criticisms or additons..........maybe on how to get cbs to truly rough up wrs at line of scrimmage? Also tried to set Kick Interference to both full and 0 and neither one resulted in any penalties there (they seemed to have occurred/been called more often at that time--so I've been told)--ideas here? Any thoughts on any slider changes would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried using my 70's rosters? I made bump and run coverage very effective in my roster to emulate what you want. Let me know how it works for you.

Definitely will check your rosters.


Any thoughts on further slider adjustments I could make beyond those mentioned previously (particularly: is shifting HUM/CPU pass blocking all the way to the left the correct way to go in order to replicate the no hand extension rule by offensive linemen back then)? Also, should the HOLDING Penalty slider be shifted dramatically to one side or the other? If not the Dr, anyone with knowledge on the subject with anything to add would be appreciated.
