Re: Past-Gen Impressions Thread (360/PS3)

Do replays play back really fast to you guys? Seems like it's on fast forward on ps3.
We didn't get an upgraded d-line but at least we get feedback on when it's successful even though it's still pretty random. The cpu takes a ton of sacks. My first game was me (packers) against Seashawks. Russell Wilson went 14 for 15. One TD. One int. 11 scrambles for 87 yards and 7 sacks. Saw a couple of innacurate throws. He had one incomplete pass where he threw it to a running back in the backfield but it was ruled a fumble since it was a backwards pass. The cpu missed a field goal. Wind definitely affects kicks now. The cpu punts were all over the place.

Re: Past-Gen Impressions Thread (360/PS3)

I'm enjoying the game,to me this is what madden 25 should of been. Only thing i don't like is the pass rush moves are now buttons instead of the right stick. Also i have my pass acc sliders at 25 for me and 5 for the cpu and seeing good outcomes.

Re: Past-Gen Impressions Thread (360/PS3)

Can someone answer me these questions ?

1.How is the running game (by user) compared to last year's game ? Is it still kinda overpowered and takes no effort ?
2.Does it still take forever to set up 32team CFM offline ? It usually took me around 4-6 hours to do that , because of ridiculous menus and the game in general (thats including cutting players in the pre season yourself for all the teams and setting up depth charts for all the teams too obviously , because cpu would cut players like Richard Sherman in the 1st preseason , so maybe the cpu logic is better on madden 15 and you dont even need to do 32user teams anymore ?
3.When you are in CFM and you are looking at player ratings is it still ******** like it was last year ? Basically in last year's game ratings were adjusted to the offensive and defensive schemes you ran with your team but it was broken and was no where close to truth so the only way to know real ratings of players during CFM was either when you were playing the match and going to depth charts or exiting the CFM and just looking it up on the roster you were using in the main menu (however this obviously wouldnt really work if you take into account player progression)
4.Are menus still horribly slow ?
5.Do teams which have 2 good running backs who should split carries actually do split them ? This really annoys me in madden 25 when you play against team like Panthers and cpu runs 25-30 times with DeAngelo but Stewart gets one or two carries. Can someone test this out against teams that have 2 good halfbacks ?

The running game is definitely harder this year.

All the same as last year. Cpu logic is messed up especially with stats having a more negative effect on ratings.

3.When you are in CFM and you are looking at player ratings is it still ******** like it was last year ? The ratings are consistent in all menus now

4.Are menus still horribly slow ?

Menus are better but not as smooth as it could be.

5.Do teams which have 2 good running backs who should split carries actually do split them ? Same as last year

Re: Past-Gen Impressions Thread (360/PS3)

Have to say.. I'm not finding much point in preseason. For example, I just played against the Bears (as Eagles) and David Fales went 19/20 for 357yds and 4 TDs against a crop of players averaging 70-75. Perhaps some ratings are off for the Eagles, despite the fact that their 2s and 3s just embarrassed the Steelers' starters for three quarters this past week, but I'm inclined to believe sliders are horribly broken in Madden 15.

Re: Past-Gen Impressions Thread (360/PS3)

I'm enjoying it to far, only two games, trying to adjust the sliders, but that seems to have a big impact.

One of the best additions that I really enjoy is the ability to call by a strategy or play concept, I don't remember what it was called. I want to run a flood pattern instead of looking through formations or shotgun play types, I can get to it a lot quicker. In the past on NCAA and Madden I would be forced to stick to a couple plays that I really liked because it took to long to try and find other plays. This will make mixing it up a lot easier.

For some reason gameplay has seemed to improve, I can't put my finger on it but it feels better.

There are glitches as with all new games but that will be worked out in future patches.

There is a lot the same with this game as madden 25 but we come to expect that out of sports games, and EA isn't going to put a lot of time into revamping a system that will probably not have any new games in a year or two.

I love connected franchise it is great to be the owner and have complete control of the team. You may hate the stadium your team plays in so decide as an owner to play a new team.

I'm currently doing a season with the Saints, but I may also do one with a fantasy Draft. It is always fun to build a team from the ground up and draft the strengths you want.

Because NCAA 15 doesn't exist this year, I will be spending much more time with Madden.

good game, not much different from Madden 25 but the tweaks are enough for the 60 dollar purchase price.

Now if you wait a couple weeks directly before the NFL season starts there is a great chance you could save some money on it.

Re: Past-Gen Impressions Thread (360/PS3)

I purchased today and have played three games in career mode as owner.

Madden 15 is certainly very similar to Madden 25, but I will say it is slightly better. Like others have said, it's difficult to put a finger on why it seems better. Game play seems a little smoother and I'm not finding myself shaking my head as often as previous years thinking "what the hell just happened, that's crazy."

I haven't had a receiver run immediately out of bounds, continuing his original route after catching the ball (yet).

Graphics are slightly better but it's barely noticeable, if at all.

Announcing is the same quality as last year, no better and no worse. They might say a few new things but it's basically the same.

Each year, there are normally a couple of things that happen in gameplay that leave me wondering if EA played it at all prior to releasing. This year, it's only a one thing so far, and that's CPU accuracy. Playing as the Panthers, I got shredded by Mike Glennon in the first game vs the Bucs. I think he had three incompletions all game. The second game vs Matt Stafford went better and he was around 60% or so. The third game, just played, was against the Steelers and Bruce Gradkowski was filling in for an injured Roethlisberger. Despite being under pressure all game (he was sacked six times) he only had four incompletions, one of which was an interception. The third game vs Gradkowski was played with an adjusted slider of CPU QB Accuracy set at 35.

Besides that, I think it's a good game. Slightly better than last year, but not a huge difference.

I don't regret buying it since this will likely be the last console game I buy because I have no interest in buying a PS4/XB1 and it's a slight improvement of last year.
