I just received my first gold badge in madden ultimate team, what can I use this towards? I know they can be used for sets but they have many options to add the badge towards.. can I upgrade my gold player to a higher rating? Using the gold badge towards a higher player rating in my lineup seems like the best idea.. help me please!

No - go to sets and you will see where they can be used

A gold badge sells for about 6-7k on 360
