To be brutally honest, I seriously doubt that anyone in the US would know or care who most of the players in the CFL are. And to continue being brutally honest, most of EA's customers are in the US, therefor, this would make no sense.

I'd much rather they fine tune the AMERICAN football engine they have before implimenting a Canadian football one that I may try once for fun then be done with completely.

Oh in Canada there treated terrificly. Understand the league has a 150 year history and the majority of the skilled positions are played by imports (americans), often they like to so much they stay and work in the league and move here. In Edmonton hockey is king, but in the offseason the Eskimos take precident.

The CFL is big in Canada and the Grey Cup gets better ratings than the Stanley Cup Finals (might change if there was a Canadian team in it though).

I like the fact Garcia and Moon rave about the CFL and give credit to the league for jump starting their careers.

But yeah I think CFL would be cool although it would impossible to keep updated rosters since they change so much. It could be an extra mode. It wouldn't really require that much work. Just getting the players and stadiums created. The rules would be easy to put in.

I was saying something like that if they were to put CFL in Madden. I think a CFL mode would be a lot more innovative then just NFL Europe but I realize that no one south of the border (save the very northern parts of the northern states) cares about the Canadian game.

Which is a shame because Canadian football is a direct descendent of rugby* and has been played far longer then the American game.




* For many years there was no "CFL" it was really a rugby union with very rudimentary Canadian football rules in place. The CFL was born out of not one but 2 Rugby leagues.
