EST isn't atlantic time

EST=eastern as in Boston, NY, Toronto and most of the eastern seaboard.

it's 3 hrs cuz when the Jays are on the west coast games start at 10 PM here and it's 7 PM where they are.

In terms of franchise features i wouldn't be surprised at all to see Madden take the crown but the franchise CPU AI is what matters. Who really cares about signing bonuses, franchise tags, restricted free-agents if the salary cap increases every year tremendously while the players seldom increase their demands? EA also needs to re-work the re-signing/free-agent/drafting logic based of factors other than the roster breakdown!

All of these franchise improvements are great IMO but they won't mean a thing unless these issues are worked on....just like last year!

Come to think of it....maybe EA actually worked on these issues so the whole story mode feature will work properly which will give us the gamers the idea that there not the only one trying to build a team.
