This is the biggest news in football gaming ever. EA has bought the offical rights to all player names and likeness for 250 million dollars a year over the next 4 years. It looks like ESPN has been dealt the death blow.

So that means that only EA's Madden will have real player names?

The other games can only use likenesses?

If true, that is very big.. for EA. And very bad.. for other companies.

No names or likeness! I think the NFLPA looked at the fact theres only 2 football games this year and gave their rights to the highest bidder and sega isn't even in the same galaxy when it comes to money as EA.
