why the hell dont football games have this?

Not surprisingly, nobody except me remembers this. But way back in 2001, ESPN NFL Primetime(not to be confused for ESPN NFL 2K) had this. So it can be done because it was done.

considering the number of things that game did right i wouldn't expect this to be something that would break the pattern. i don't think any of today's games would be borrowing anything from that one.

its def. not that big of an issue, its just with all the attention paid to, and emphasis put on realism, i'm just suprised its not implemented, thats all...

well then you would be able to use it, but if the other team has no timeouts i think it is dumb if your team stays in a huddle for 25 seconds even though the game is clearly over. And it could easily be programmed so that it only happens when you run the kneel play otherwis-
