Transcript (best I could do)
Madden Producer Q&A

Info:
August 10th is official release date.
In collectors addition - Madden Moments in PS2 game - replay best NFL moments from the past

15 years.
Funny (had to mention it) - one guy nicknamed Rudy - did all the Hitstick motion captures -

he got hit all the time.
Coverage audible based on the button corresponding to the receiver while your DB is selected.
Comment about graphics pushing on player detail and pads - "hard to believe this is a PS2" -

from the producer.
Volumetric lighting - way the stadium lights light up the players and the crowd.

Q's

Dissing madden using ESPN (a little - paraphrasing). What are you doing to make madden superior?
Graphics of Madden are 10x better than other games. We have tons of features like storyline

franchise- newspapers, mental states of players.

More CPU trades in franchise modes. Custom sections in stadiums?
Make your fans as crazy as you want. We added CPU trades on draft day. Focus on draft day

with CPU trades. <me talking - probably not during other franchise aspects>.

How are the patriots this year?
they're going to be awesome. heck of a team and heck of a team defense. Team ratings given

at E3 already. Raiders are 77 overall.

Thank you for creating the best game ever. WIth all the new improvements. anything done about the 20 yard drop back and qb accuracy?
Don't throw off your back foot - you'll get sacked or throw a pick - we worked on that a ton.

An aside - look at the lighting, reflections, pads, time of day.

Has the ability to make package substitutions - like mass subs been addressed?
We do have custom packages that you can make at the playcall screen this year.

How about that "A type" and "B type" cheap shot? lol. Same animations for pregame but doesn't the beginning kinda look like ESPN?

Re: Gamespot: On the Spot

he tried to get some ESPN bashing in there.

I noticed the 10x better graphics(yea right), the A and B product, and he hinted about how they made it cost $20 cus they knew what was better. anyway.

ESPNs game opening is way better, fan animations, the pregame with boomer, even the players before the game. Maddens is the same as last years.. The coch talk, the player stretch/coach talk, and the star player getting highlighted by the announcer doing a lil warmup.
