Question about lighting

Is the PS2 version brighter than the XBOX version? The XBOX graphics have never really captured that sunny day feel with the grass and players' colors really shining like they should.

Re: Question about lighting

you know I noticed this too...the Xbox graphics do seem a little blurred out and not as sharp as the ps2.

Re: Question about lighting

Yeah, I noticed this ever since Madden came to Xbox. The fields are blander, and almost have a grey-ish tint to them.

The effect of the sun illuminating the field just isn't there. But what I've seen of the 2005 Xbox screens, it LOOKS to be corrected...but I guess we won't know until we get the game...or until Madden [actually] releases some videos

You can chalk that up to the XBOX version being a port from the PS2 version. And don't forget those jaggies either. I enjoy Madden on my XBOX, but graphically it's lacking (as are all EA titles that are ports from the less powerful system). Thankfully ESPN was built from the ground up on the XBOX this year. I'll still end up getting both.

Re: Question about lighting

EA could of easily did what ESPN has done "build for xbox then port down to ps2" - but then again they havent made a new Madden engine since Madden come on the ps2 the first year ps2 was rls'd. We'll see a whole new madden engine when the new systems come out but thats not for another two years at the very least.
