Re: Is Madden ready for the competition???

Are they ready? NO. Think about it guys with Vc constantly throwing Bombs at ea like the 19.99 price Ea wants to respond but they cant. 1. They cant drop the price of madden because they dont make much off of it anyway due to the licensing issues especially after being sued by emi records for not clearing some of the music.

2. Everytime they move the release date up they are killing advertising and hype time. For example:

Ea wants to have this big release party for madden 05 august 10th they make preparations then Vc pushes there release date up 3 weeks before Ea's in order for ea to beat them to the marketplace the parties cancelled and they try to speed things up I think vc always had a plan for nfl2k5 to come out early they just was waiting for a time to leat the cat out of the bag when Ea couldnt respond. Like ive said in many posts before TIBURON/EA EMPLOYEES ARE ARROGANT for the last 3 e3 shows that ive attended these guys think that no matter what they release the consumers are dumb enough to buy it.

There are enough ignorant uninformed buyers out there that will always buy Madden even if they do almost nothing to improve it (this year). The worst thing is that at the end of the day, they will still worship it like its the best thing.

Most people buy 4 million copies of Madden every year? Hmm... one copy was enough for me.

ESPN is desperate. that is the only reason why they would make a game worth 50 cost only 20. all for the crown of" Console Football Game of the Year". idiots. you can have the crown for selling more games but i still think madden is a better brand of football game. unless i can climb inside the tv and receive the hand off, ESPN is still #2.

Gameday even if it came out was never competition

Never say never. There were a few seasons on the original PlayStation where Gameday was *easily* the superior game --- so much so that Madden 96 was never even released on the PS One; just SNES, Genesis, etc.
