ESPN was rated 8.5 8.5 8.0
Madden was rated 9.0 9.5 9.0
The consensus opinion was that Madden played much better than ESPN this year and that there were too many dropped passes in ESPN. They all agreed that ESPN had the better presentation.I apologize if this is old news

It is old bro but they also said Madden has better graphics...thats pretty off. Infact EGM is a very weak magazine when it comes to sports game reviews

They also said that ESPN is for the casual gamers while Madden is for the hardcore gamers. That's ludicrous.

i think that espn obviosly wins presentation, and graphics, but when it comes down to it egm and game informer both say that madden has better gameplay, and to me thats all that matters

I just had a HUGE write-up about this, and when I clicked "Post" or whatever, it brought me to something that said that it couldn't connect to the remote server. When I clicked "Back", it was ALL gone!

And now I don't feel the urge to write it up again!!!

It's all opinions. Since 2K's debut on the Dreamcast, I have seen tons of round table discussions and they always end up saying both are great, and both are very different. I guarantee some online gaming sites will give ESPN the nod over Madden and vice versa. That's why I always play both, and get a different football experience from each one.

Yep, lots of people are too inept to crack open a new game manual, learn a new game, and use some strategy...
..when they can just chuck the ball all over the field like last year in Madden.

But hey, if the reviews are correct, that means Madden did a TON of improving over last year's joke AI and cheese, and that its not just a graphic re-hash of the 2001 engine with a few token defensive audibles and a hit stick.

That remains to be seen. But if they are correct, so be it. I'll buy both either way. But I'll tell you one thing- EA better not be layin' another stinky terd on XBOX like they did with bullet-time college ball.

Can you say FUMBLE???

And remember, opinions are like worn out copies of Madden with bad AI. Everybody's got one!
