As far as I can tell they're (ps2 and xbox) the same reviews.

Wow, they gave it a nice score.

I didn't read the review yet, and I own, and am content, with ESPN. But I think I am going to pre-order Madden, because it looks and seems really good.

Thanks for posting up the links to the reviews..

Is this one hitting the shelves on the 12th?

Well IGN picks Madden over ESPN :P The review I thought was good and really made my decsion on Madden if I should buy or not. I've been a fan of Madden for years now, and I'm glad EA re-did the defense. Madden looks fun this year :P

If the tackle animations are better in madden than in espn we are in for a real treat

I can't wait until monday, I'm so glad Madden is somthing to look forward to again, just like when I was a kid and drolled at the mouth waiting.
