Generally all this isn't targeted at anyone in particularly, but:
I can't say ESPN is more immersive at all because its franchise is shallow, when your on the field all that matters in gameplay, I don't see how you can get more immersed in a game because of its cutscenes, graphics, stats overlays and a halftime show. Maybe its just me, but deep true-to-life cold hard strategy gets me immersed, but I'm like that I like having to think, front desk or field, i want a challenging complex system, ESPN won on the field last, year but looks far from that this year, they really f'ed up the DB AI with some tweaks. ESPN isn't deep in franchise, its just hiding behind presentation which doesn't add any real value to the game IMO. Talk about gang tackles all you want, with Madden's new defensive system and All-Madden engine some half sacks and an extra broken tackle here and there are fine, I'm sticking with Madden. I just think that personally I will like it better, most people here will agree with me on this one, if you don't, then go play ESPN simple as that. Madden is no.1 on this board , definetly this year!

...Madden don't even come close!
Madden- gamplay is easy for the football novice or casual fan, and Arcadey!
ESPN-This is where the hardcore fan comes to game. Realistic Sim...period!
And with right tweeks w/ sliders, ESPN leaves Madden "IN THE DUST in GAMEPLAY!!
