simulated stats... lol... Maddens sux too

for years, all of us that simulated stats always chose madden because it was better than ESPN. now this year, Madden f'd their simulation engine up to.

it's it ironic? all the bitching about simulated stats on ESPN, and now madden is similar?

good stuff.... sure, maybe it's a minor complaint to some of you, but some of us want the realistic NFL portrayed... and when WRs don't simulate with enough catches and yards, and QBs don't simulate with enough yards, it ruins our game...

no option for simulated quarter length, and there's no difference if the quarter length is changed.

basically you get most things fairly accurate, but things are low like QB yards, WR receptions, WR yards... things i wish were accurate.

sure, i can't wait for the "just play the damn game" posts that will ultimately follow, but for each of us, different features are important. this is one for the hardcore sim guys like myself...

I am curious as to whether anyone else has seen this as well. And also, what are the league leaders' numbers at the end of the year?

Thanks in advance.

Re: simulated stats... lol... Maddens sux too

i've simmed 3 seasons so far... same results.

QBs yardage... is low on average. nobody above 4000 yards, except once Manning was.. all other qb stuff about right.

RB yardage was fairly close. Tds a touch low, but not too bad. 17 led the league

WR, always only one guy over 100 receptions. a couple in the 90s or so. as for yards... VERY low, maybe a couple of guys in the 1200, a few in the 1100, some in the 1000.... once there may have been a guy in the 1300 yard range, but not many, if any... TDs were ok though.

i'm hoping i have a setting wrong, but i don't think so.

those are my findings. call me picky... but that's how it is.

Those numbers do not sound all that "Off"...at least not as bad you made it seem in your opening post...
