Player Moral question in Franchise...

Does anyone know if a player actually plays better or worse when their moral rating is hi/low? If not, it's a pointless feature since they can complain to you and the newspapers but nothing really happens. You have to really piss a player off before they demand a trade or anything. Maybe it's only useful for free agency then? This stuff isn't well documented in the manual. Anyone have some input? thanks!

Morale does work...at least for me anyway. I am the 'Boys in my franchise and for some reason Eddie George was on the trade block - needless to say he wasn't happy. I didn't put him up there, but whatever. I get 4 emails from him saying that if this is the way he is going to be treated that it is going to be a long season...and in the first game of the season sure enough he did fumble the ball 3 times! After that game I just resigned him to a 4 year deal and he next game he ran for 150 and 3 td's.

I'd say the morale works just fine...

Players will refuse to play for you if their morale gets too low. I don't think it affects their on-field performance.
