I had to go to the replay to see what really happened. As the throw was halfway to being caught, 2 receivers crossed each other, leaving 3 defenders being blocked, while the other made the catch (on the other side of the "wall"). That receiver that caught the ball and ran for a TD, because the "picked" DBs were out of the play.

Incredible! The CPU can execute plays that defy logic. Why can't I do that too?

that's just luck

i've done that a couple of times before.
sometimes, with the right routes & coverages
a reciever will accidentally pick a db

try doing a post with a wr out wide and a
corner route with a slot wr on the same side
and you might see some picks.
