I never said they weren't foolish. I just staed that those who believed it would happen got a smack in the face by reality.

You don't toople the Giant in one year by cutting price. This is a 2-3 year project IMO.

Also for whoever said sales don't always mean better product, well no ****. But guesss what, many better products get canceled for lack of sales.

I hope both games stay around. but ESPN pulled out every trick in the book this year, I hope it works out for them because at the end of the day it doesn't matter what we think, it all comes down to the suits and they only think $$$

do you really think that ESPN will sell more copies then Madden in 2/3 years, I don't. When that time comes around for all we know EA could have Madden graphics better then ESPN and have better presentaion, and the It would just be Madden all over again. You think EA isn't going to upgrade there graphics at some point.

Never said you called them foolish, I'M calling them foolish. If there's one thing the common fan lacks these days, it's patience. And the 2-3 year project sounds about right. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a 5 year deal, either. But the comeptition will help us all.

And sales are important as well - but some people come from the school of thought that because it's popular, it's the best. Bigger means better and all.

Still, I'm hoping M$ and 989 get their stuff together and come out next year with some BLAZING new games. One great feeling is trying to figure out which football game you want to buy out of a cast of 5.
