Tired of 3rd and long completions?

I've gotten to the point that I actually hate having the CPU down third and long. They get a completion for a first down 90% of the time it seems. It's gotten so bad that I re-implemented my "NO-TOLERANCE ON STUPID CRAP" policy against the computer...let me explain...LOL

I know its really generic and many will see it as cheating but I don't care because its my franchise and I want to be able to control crap like this. My No-Tolerance rule goes a bit like this. I allow the computer 2 third and long completions per half. If they are third and long for the...third time in a half and they've already used up their "I'm the CPU so I can do anything trick" I go into the options and save the game...viola...I run the play over as many times as it takes the computer to not complete the down...LOL...

Yea, it's really annoying especially when the CPU does that often in the second half when they are trailing...
All of a sudden, they got a magical QB and WR who can catch any long passes.

I guess to each his own. But if you tighten up your D, you can stop it. Try the D-fense Tutorial and learn a few of the options available to you. Trust me it will do wonders for you.

Play better D and call more blitz plays, trust me it works, I love to blitz.

I agree 110% Nothing takes a team out of a good roll like a 7 - 8 yard sack with a LB Dancing on your helmet...

I actually like the fact that the computer agitates me while playing with his sudden comeback tendencies... but I just try to use it to fire myself up and when/if I make the big play with my user controlled guy its all the more rewarding.... or frustrating if he happens to score.. heh..

I usually always hold the computer to less than half or half of its 3rd down conversions

I've had no problems holding computer on 3rd and long myself. When I get them 3rd and long i'd say its about 30-35% at best completion rate.

I've had no problems stopping the CPU on 3rd Down either.
