EA takes HUGE cheap shot at ESPN

Not to mention the fact that the dum-dums read "month of july" and they actually think "month".

What EA should have said, if they didn't want to confuse the dum-dums was, that game that sold for 19.99, sold 800,000 copies in a week. We sold 1.3 million in a week. Wow, all that does is make is sound like ESPN is catching Madden in sells. Especially considering that ESPN is on two consoles, while Madden is on 4, and soon to be on PC.

You hit the nail on the head. Compare apples to apples, ESPN is only out on 2 consoles, not 4.

It just shows a lack of business class and ethics. Not really surprising honestly. They're sort of the bully of the game market now--being d**ks because they can. From what I've heard, they don't treat some of their employees/development studios very well either.

I always find it amusing how things receive a certain "spin". That "month" of July they were refering to...did they mean July 20th - July 31st? There's a big difference between 30-31 days and 11 days.

The sales part is the truth, but they did get unproffesional with the extra comment.

Sega/ESPN has been taking shots at EA for quite a while. I don't see what the big deal is.
