The Comeback Code "its in the game"

i'm saying this flat out, some games are predetermined that you can win and some are that you won't win. i've seen 2 onside kicks recovered by the computer in a row. the league average is like 20% in real life.

That's another one I've run into. Almost all sports games have this code. Even as great as WE7 is and it is very good, I've seen some pretty obvious comeback code. There are times when as soon as you score the AI scores right back and there really isn't anyway to stop it, especially with time running out.

What is this "choose not to see"? You're basically telling a guy he's lying. How can you tell somebdoy they're lying about their own personal experience with the game? You can't. Just like nobody can tell you you're lyin about what you've seen.

Yea you guys are right. The argument is useless.

I remember a interview for Madden 04 on Madden Wishlist where they specifically asked a Madden dev/producer about the comeback code and he denied it exsisted. He said something to the degree of "the cpu adapts to the users playing style" or some mess like that. I just wish the producers of all EA titles would just admit to the funny business that goes on in they're sports games.

I got a question for all you nay-sayers though. Did you guys ever play the Midway games "NFL Blitz" or "NBA Jam/Hangtime"? If so, did you ever think those games cheated?

I do remember games (don't know which titles though) that had a "CPU Assist" feature that you were able to toggle on/off to prevent huge blowouts on either side to keep the game close.

Possibly NBA Live back in the late 90's? Maybe someone else can recall these as well.
