From what I have have seen, you have to make the player the captain to be an icon. I made Harrington and Boss Baily a captain, once I did that, they showed up as a icon. I dunno!!!

I don't know if that's the case, but it might be part of the solution.

Hines Ward was the only Icon on the Steelers and I made him a captain. However my 2 other captains (Joey Porter and Alan Faneca) aren't icons.

Williams over Dawkins? Don't get me wrong, Williams is a player, but that's just a crime.
Roy Williams is going to be a far superior FS by the time he is at the prime of his career, where Dawkins is now, but if often hurt, so maybe, that is why he isnt' an icon, due to his frequent time spent on the injury list the last 2 years?

Like I said, I dunno. I had no icons on my Lions team. Once I made Harrington and Baily leaders, they became icons. Maybe it is a fluke, who knows.

Last year was the only year I can recall Dawkins having injury problems and it was Williams first year where he deserved elite consideration IMO. I think Dawkins is still the standard by which all free safeties should be judged, but I'll allow that Reed, Williams, and maybe Sean Taylor are the future of the position.

My guess is that being a captain might have something to do with being an icon. I'm sure if you have a guy who's a captain for a few years and he produces then he'll become an icon.

I'm sure it's part of the formula, but who knows what the entire formula is.

No, the first play didn't show his speed. The first play showed an exteremely horribel technique by Gary Baxter, for which he was verbally abused on the sidelines by Ray Lewis. Baxter turned around at the wrong time because he was anticipating TO to stay on a short route.

Get your facts straight...
