What should I do?

Well I am using the Steelers in my franchsie and Bettis is mad he isn't starting and rookie Kevin Jones(who I aquired in a trade) is starting, should I

a) release Bettis

B) trade him for a better RB

c) keep him on the bench crying.

Is he an Icon in your Franchise? If so, then releasing or trading(I doubt you will get a better back in return considering Bettis' age) him may damage the morale of you team. There is something else you can try. I wouldn't do it because it involves trying to take advantage of the programing A.I., but you could list Bettis as the starter on the depth chart, but once the game starts you could switch it up or just use the package subs to still give Jones the "Lions" share(pun intended) of the carries.

just put him on the trading block and see what you can get for him.

If you try to trade for a better back, they will also complain about not enough playing time.

Give him a few carries a game and let him sit and cry about it. Maurice Morris thought he should be starting (over LT of all people). 5 weeks laters he quit complaining and his morale was nearly full. How well that would work if he is an icon I don't know.

Trade him for a team that wants a RB.
If you place him on the trading block, the papers will scream murder.

If you release him, you incurr a cap penalty.

Trade him for a draft pick and then sign a running back from FA that wont complain as much.
