Re: PS2 Controller For PC - Quick Question

Anyone? There must be someone out there playing Madden 2005 with the PS2-to-USB adapter who figured out how to make the buttons correspond to the right actions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sorry i don't use it for Madden. For MVP there was a controller.cfg file. There should be something similar in Madden.

I also had to do a simple registry hack. Remember this was for MVP. It may be completely different in Madden. Here are the instructions:

1) Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type joy.cpl.
Make a note of what the name of the controller is.

2) Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type regedit.

3) Registry Hack
  • Make your way to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Me diaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\
  • You'll see a bunch of entries like VID_045E&PID_000XXXX and when you click on it, it should have the name of a controller in the right pane.
  • Keep going down the list until the controller that has the same name from joy.cpl, it should be the last entry.
  • Delete the description for that window on the right window and rename it to Logitech Dual Action.

Ah, thank you! I did the registry part. I am not sure where to find the controller.cfg file. Where was it located in the MVP folders? I've tried to find something similar in the Madden folders but I don't see it.

Not sure where it was, I'm not at my home PC. It was called something else in FIFA, config.dat I think.

There should be something similar.
