Someone explain why, year after year, the rosters are so inaccurate?

Of all the things that get to me, this has got to be the most irritating, because it's seemingly so easy to remedy. If it's a matter of licensing, I understand, can anyone explain why so many players simply don't exist in the game?

Just looking at the Ravens roster, there are several errors. Including,

*LS Matt Katula, once again, does not exist in the game.
*LB Dannell Ellerbe is still a Free Agent.
*CB Samari Rolle is on the roster, he is on the PUP in real life.
*RB Matt Lawrence does not exist in the game.
*TE/LB Edgar Jones does not exist in the game.
*WR Justin Harper is on the team, he was cut and resigned to the Practice Squad

Its always been that way. Pretty frustrating when certain players are left out, especially if they are a starter.

I'm only here to help my friend.. I know how it is.. but I have nothing but time on my hands... so I just want to help everyone enjoy playing Madden.. I know realism helps for a lot of people.. feel me?
