Madden PS2/PSP 2017-18 NFL Rosters and Franchise Mods

I edited the rosters in Franchise Mode. I don't have the roster file.

I used the 06 Rosters it worked for quick play but when I try to do NFL Superstar or Franchise it would just freeze while loading.

I'm new to this..

I used the Madden12 roster .max file, loaded on my USB drive (basic usb drive), put it in the PS2, started my MAX ps2 disc. I went to My Devices, and chose the USB stick. It shows the Madden NFL Rost 2017 and I can select it. However, I can't choose any options to do with it.

I have a 128MB memory card in there, and it works fine with Hot Shots Golf Fore... however, if I choose it as the Primary Device in the Max Memory > My Devices, it moves to the next screen but automatically goes back to the device selection screen.


Any help? Also, this all might be an attempt that won't even work as I only have Madden 11. /shrugs

First, thanks for doing this!!! It's really quite amazing!

I successfully loaded Roster and Franchise files, then started the Franchise, which starts at Week 1.

Then, I made the one additional roster move I'm concerned with, which was moving Jay Ajayi from the Dolphins and to the Eagles.

Then, I set all teams except the Eagles and Cowboys to CPU assist for everything and started simulating through all the weeks leading up to the first Eagles/Cowboys match-up.

Unfortunately, at week 7, the Bills vs. Dolphins game will not move forward no matter what I do. It won't simulate, and I can't even play it. I'm just stuck on Week 7, and it now has saved over the Franchise file, so I'll have to manually reload it.

Has anybody run into this?

Make sure that each team has full rosters before trying to play again (two QB's, three RB's, etc....). I had the same problem when I tried to play the Car@Den game in Week 1. The game would freeze before I could play it.

Update: Tonight, I checked and made sure that all the rosters had the required number of players for each position. And, I still couldn't play the Car@Denver game. I could simulate it, but I couldn't get past the Week 1 Browns-Eagles game. And, I made sure that the rosters were in order. I hate to say it (because minotauri gave a good try), but this file is flawed.

So I cancelled a game simulation after I accidentally selected to sim a game in madden11 Fran17 update file during week three! Now I can't select the game to play or sim and I cannot advance to next week! Have I corrupted this Fran17 file by do I this! Or is there a way to recover?

Hey Minotauri! Long time no see! Thanks to Vulcan support in PPSSPP I can now play both madden 08 ncaa 07 through my method of choice with no FPS drops! That said, your Madden 08 franchise file crashes for me when trying to play chargers or rams games. I saw another post about this. Any ideas for something to look at? I have found some time recently to look into this stuff again so happy to help...
