Slider guys - Your work is cut out for you!!

I have never seen a game need slider adjustments out of the box so fast as this one (m11). Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!!

I couldn't agree more. The difficulty in this game is a mess. All-Pro is incredibly easy. I played a game between the Niners and Texans with default settings (12 min qtrs/ 20 second acc clock) and I ended up winning 79-20. Disaster.

All-Madden is worse. CPU breaks every tackle. There is no pass protection...etc.

Sliders needed desperately.

Every year it's all hype....i mean the gameplay is great...but man..come on.....i wish we could just take it out of the box and adjust a few minor things and play...but no every single year we have to wait for a month after the game is released for a good set of sliders, and a patch...it is getting ridiculous.

You somewhat have to give them a break. A normal game that is good could take anywhere from 3-5 years to make. Alot of that time is testing out the game. Looking for flaws. Adjusting the AI ect... The development team for Madden gets maybe a year to actually make a game better than it was the year before. Fix the engine. Adjust the AI and all that. This is why they give you the option to tweak it yourself. Atleast they give you this option instead of just leaving it alone.

I don't know. Right now the more I play, the more I think I see the potential. Then there is a part of me that wants to put the NCAA disc in again.

I don't want this to be a moan fest about EA, just want to get the slider ball rolling.

i wouldn't mind helping with sliders...but i really don't have any experience doing so

I do think this is a good year for Madden. I feel that most of the issues (difficulty/KO returns/kicking) - is all fixable. The game plays great, and I'm having a good deal of fun.

I think it's important to understand what the Madden guys are trying to do here. They wanted to rebuild the gameplay aspects (which they have done for the last few years) and presentation models. Now that they have those in place, they'll tweak it where necessary - then hopefully over the next few years we get a rebuilt dynasty, online and superstar modes. Maybe even some new modes - like Head Coach built in.

I'd say right now Madden '12 has the chance to be one of the greatest football games ever if they do what they NEED to do. Until they strip everything for the next generation again lol.

i agree with the sliders...Allpro seems too easy. i think i'm on to something with my run sliders. I put the defensive run sliders for the human down to 5. I kept the tackling at 50(the cpu will still break a few with this )

on the cpu side i put the run blocking at 65 and the abiltity at 50. If you want to have at least 1 or 2 fumbles a game put the cpu fumble slider at 25.

now, you have to be smart on defense...***nning the 3-4 might be better , but you have to be smart. filling the holes with a linebacker will help but it will expose the secondary if it is pass. Its just like real football. you have to scheme right or you will get toasted for a big gain.

for passing i felt that the only adjustment is putting the cpu pass reacton down to 40. this will give you just enough seperation on curl routes and out routes. It eliminates the cornes having esp ( aka all madden settings)

for the human running game, put the defensive cpu run sliders at 15 and tackling at 50. The cpu will still stop you when they scheme correct but if you have blockers , you will enjoy watching running lanes form. this will be most noticeable on reverses, screens and special teams.

NCAA is lightyears ahead of Madden from what I'm seeing so far. In NCAA you can actually make the CPU defense do something.

I feel like this too. I'm not sure sliders can fix the problems, especially with the defense. I'm thinking its going to take a patch or tuner like we saw in NCAA this year. I think these problems are minor (like in NCAA), but I'm curious if the Devs even see that there is a problem.

I just feel that this game is tuned 110% out of the box for the super casual gamer. I get why they do it but we need some bad *** sliders ASAP!

Agreed with your comment and your sig.... Its frustrating that my fav Madden is on PS2 and 4 years old
