Jarodd21's "75 and under" rule, in effect for M25?

hi, for some crazy reason i can only see one page of the slider's section and can't find the Jarodd21 thread. he had great sliders and whether or not he "discovered" the "75 and under rule," i learnt about it from him.

Jarodd21, you around? does this rule still apply to Madden 25?

    thanks!

First we have to know what the slider layout will be this year. In the demo, there are only 9 categories. If that's the case for the retail build, the 75 formula will not apply.

I haven't seen much posted about this, except for your inquiry. I'm a little nervous as to how well this game will be able to be tuned.

I worked my slider set differently than most. I always left the CPU sliders at default, which was 50 points, and lowered user settings only. I got great results doing this, without any bizarre warp-like animations. I may not be able to do so this year.

Great question, just no way to answer you at this time. Perhaps someone with an early copy will enlighten us?

it has been discovered and proven that when you play All-Madden as a base and tweak the sliders, the Human sliders in groups of 3 MUST NOT exceed 75 points -- or the entire gameplay would change and no longer be All-Madden.

          for example:

          QB Accuracy: 25
          Pass Blocking: 0
          WR Catching: 50

          or...

          QB Accuracy: 20
          Pass Blocking: 10
          WR Catching: 45

but this would break the rule and you would not get All-Madden play from the CPU:

          QB Accuracy: 25
          Pass Blocking: 1
          WR Catching: 50

it's bizarre, but to remain on "All-Madden" you had to be no more than 75 for each group of 3 related sliders, like the 3 above.

just by going a single point over, it would suddenly alter the CPU gameplay for everything, not just the sliders you tweaked.

Jarod21 wrote about it and had sliders that worked to this.

people thinking they were playing All-Madden with over 75 were kidding themselves. (and if they like it, fine, but it was not All-Madden and much easier all around.)

i personally did tests in practice mode and found it to be true. weird and frustrating but true.

Thanks for the knowledge! What about the other levels.. for example All-Pro? Does the "75" rule apply?

It never applied to any of the Madden games, this is just another "Theory" that someone cooked up, just like zero based sliders, just like 100 based sliders, etc.

Not sure about that. If you went even one step over 75 the kicking meter would revert to slow 'All-Pro' speed. It isn't too much of a stretch to believe other facets of the game changed with that too..

Not true at all. The kicking meter tells the story. Just go to practice mode and pick All-Madden difficulty. Practice kick offs. See how fast the kick metter goes. Then raise one of the sliders higher than 25. Now the kick metter will be slower. Every group of three has to be 75 and under.
