With these settings:

You will have a really hard time scoring more than 45 points, let alone 35 @ 10 minutes per quarter with 15 second play clock. - I mean, you could bump it up to 15 minutes with 15 second play clock and see results not be skewed by a lot.

My Physical Proof of Box Scores are in the league I run. Whether they are User v. User or User v. CPU/Auto-Pilot.

What the game play really comes down to - Is how consistent of a player you are while playing an opponent at true value (user or cpu).

User v. User (user skills/knowledge obviously depend on the scoring variety in user v. user) or In User v. CPU - it plays extremely tight. Whether it is User v. User or User v. CPU it is always consistent gameplay.

Run Heavy Player = 29 carries about 171 @ 5.4 average, if you play a good defense it will be lower and if you play a bad defense it may be higher.

Pass Heavy Player = 300+ yards, depends on if you know your timing routes and if you can read coverages. If you can't read coverages and you are just running plays that "work" all the time. Your going to see way lower of passing yards and a very low QB rating.

A Balanced player = about 100 on the ground and about 250+ in the air, depending if you are playing a user or the cpu it varies, but not as much as you think.

Total Offense = 350 - 475 total yards, give or take and that again depends on how good of a player you are, how good your user skills are.

Total Yards for (Special Teams in account) = 400 - 650 (Max/lucky to get), give or take, again that matters how good of a player you are and how good your user skills are including special teams.

The Gameplay is like NFL Fever 2003/2004 for X-Box before it discontinued, except its gameplay is on Madden 25. These platforms are much better (due to technology and advancement of the videogames). But, very similar. Fever had amazing gameplay for X-Box - ironically, EA Sports saw Fever (X-Box only game/XSN productions) and NFL 2K doing damage to their brand, product and franchise (Due to EA not having the proper development of simulation gameplay and you still continue to see EA use videogame gameplay and not realistic/simulation gameplay, just because the physics/graphics are great, doesn't mean it is realistic gameplay) - then the next year, EA bought a strict NFL License from the NFL in 2006. Same thing happened with NHL 2K (First stick control modifier game, I believe).

What are the stats so far in your league? Do the Tackle numbers add up? The Avg per game for both teams last year was 126 I think. Are you getting this with 10 min. Quarters? What about Pancakes and Sacks? Is CPU QB% in check without having to watch CPU WRs drop 5-10 passes every game? Are you seeing Pass Deflections from CPU/HUM DBs? Do you see those ridiculous drops that hit them in BOTH hands or is it pretty much a for sure pick if he's "open" and not clogged up with a Receiver? Are Receivers fighting to catch the ball at it's highest point instead of just staying on their route and letting DBs get position like *******es? Everything on your site looks amazing and in depth as hell and I'm going to Pre my pants even if half of the **** I'm asking is true.

I just used these sliders in my fantasy draft offline CCM using the week 16 roster update and liked the results offensively. Defensively I noticed a few problems

No one on my team registered more than 4 tackles. Additionally, J.J. Watt was the player with 4 tackles and they were all sacks. I finished with 7 sacks overall and 5 TFL that weren't sacks. I held Lesean McCoy to 6 yards on 8 attempts! They only had 2 third down conversions all game. Now, this is a fantasy draft league and I focused heavily on defense during the draft. Still, I don't think that my defense should be this dominant. If it weren't for two huge mistakes on my part (I play corner during all defensive downs), they might not have registered more than 200 yards of total offense.

Granted, the team I was playing against had Mike Glennon under center, but this was still a bit too pathetic of a showing.

44-13 Dallas. I had 31 at the half, seemed like Coughlin gave them a good halftime speech because I was destroying them.

I had 1 Pancake while CPU had 5 (Broncos O-line avg 3-5 a game for the past few years so I guess that's about right.)

117 tackles btw both teams. little low but it was a blowout so not a lot of tackling going on.

Giants had 2 Sacks.....I had 6. Not saying it's impossible but I just want to see one damn game where I don't get 4 Sacks. It's LITERALLY every game for me.

Harris 4 KR 103 4 PR 81. Very easy to run around everyone and this guy isn't fast or particularly elusive either.

Not tryin to be a dick but this isn't really SIM style. It felt really easy. Any ideas on how I can fix it up? QB% is outta this world. Do I need to start a new CFM?

Well,

I don't mind you bashing the settings/whatever. And I don't think you're being a dick. I worked out everything with explanation of why it is and how it is. I don't mind you saying they are easy or whatever. I just know I have the players playing to true attributes for real scores and real stats in our community and league - and CPU is beating people or coming very close and yes we run 10 minute quarters with 15 seconds @ 32 Users (some players can't make every game, so they get auto-piloted). Remember, these sliders are tested on over 70 games. 4 pre-season weeks in our league, plus 2 regular season weeks in our league and also 7-10 games per week from November and December in offline. So, you may get a game that is odd. But, remember too, in the NFL - The Chiefs against The Bills was held to under 200 yards offense. The Ravens verse the Bills were held to under 20 yards rushing, I think. That's from what I can remember on ESPN. But, overall that is a lot of games that are weighed. Don't just play one game. Gotta play more than a few and then take the averages of those games to see where the consistency is at.

So, please Double Check your settings. I mean these sliders are specific to detail. I just went through these same conversations with a new guy in my league who was bashing them. And we went into a game, and now literally sees and understands, how specific and precise everything works. I had to show him. It does not play like your normal Madden. I'm willing to go through it with more than one person, just to show ya - it plays legit.


And - if your playing CPU - You have to use completely different User v. CPU slider settings. I have them if you want them.

Yea it's all right. I plugged them in outside of my offline CFM and went imported them to the CFM after that. It's just me so I'm playing USER v CPU games. XBOX too. Should I set them to default in the CFM then do it? I've heard CPU won't play properly unless the settings are set outside CFM then imported. What kind of Completion Percentages are you getting? I've found that if the avg-little better than avg QBs are completing better than 60-65% every game than everything gets F'ed. More comp.=Running clock=less plays=less tackles, more yards, more opportunities to score. In a perfect Madden world I'm punting like 7 or 8 times a game. Averaging like 27 pts, 275 yrds passing (with a little trouble getting to 300+ passing and having a few 200 or below games) 115 yards Rushing btw 2 backs. and having Sean Lee finish around the top 20ish in Total Tackles, maybe better. I just don't think it's ever gunna happen for me **** it

Maddens balance of User v. CPU is really bad - If you're playing CPU - You have to critique the settings completely different using game speed slow.

Game Speed Slow is what allows the games to play true to in game players with animations and reaction times.

It's the only way it will work. You can't combine user v. user settings to play against user v. CPU. It will never play right. I do have User v. CPU sliders if you want them.

I was getting loses with those ones for sure with real stats and scores with my Offline User v. CPU settings - They were the base to get the User v. User right. I'll be glad to put em up.

The All-Madden 25 team put up 42 or 45 points on me and I only scored 25 - and that was with real stats. Deion Sanders was beastin'. But, yea just let me know.

Played a game with these to let you know how they are going.

Passing is extremely easy. Cutler was 28/39 for 408 yards, and we put up 49 points. Score was 49-38.

Overall game felt pretty solid, so it's a good starting point, but I found personally that the return game was too easy, not enough of the kicking team would go to the return man, and once I got to the edge I was gone. 142 plays total in the game, NFL average is 130.

Bears 553 yards total offense, Vikings 504.

Had 2 picks on Cassel, one was a pick-6.

So while there's plenty to like about the set, there's also somethings that could use improving IMO. Good work though regardless!

Yea lemme try those CPU set sliders! I love your explaination I feel like they make a lot of sense. Are you saying Game speed Slow Instead of Very Slow?

I just applied to play in your league and FYI, the sliders are amazing. I have friends over a lot for play now and it's tough playing as say Manning or Brady and getting outdone by a Cassel or Glennon. Games play just the way I'd like for them to. I really see certain players shining.

I think the issue some of you guys are having is that you're playing against the CPU with Player/Player settings and it throws it off. The CPU doesn't react or gameplan the way a user would which is why these play great for play now.

Hopefully I can get an invite into your league. Would prefer playing as the Chiefs (as I'm from KC!) but would gladly use the Bears

Yea of course it's the CPU Madden A.I. is ridiculous. I plugged in the CPU sliders from the website though and it was pretty easy. Really the only problem I had was crazy QB completion percentage which led to massive amounts of Yardage. That's the issue with the game though. CPU QBs are either super powered or completely incompetent and it ruins the entire game. Super CPU QB throws for 450 yrds and never gets sacked. He scores in the Red Zone and converts 3rd down every single time and his Air Yard Avg is like 10 yards a pass. Then take a few clicks off CPU ACC and all the sudden the whole game is ****ed. QB doesn't know what's going on, he's runnin around like an idiot, throwin balls right to defenders, eating a sack every other 3rd down. Literally playing like he just bet his whole contract against his team. And this gives me more time to light it up on Offense which I hate.

This is what needs to happen. EA needs to redo every playbook and shorten the routes WRs are running. A Big Play is defined as a 25 yard pass or a 10 yard run. Philly had most with around 7.6 per game, 2nd was Seattle with 6.4 per game and Atlanta was the worst with 3.1 per game. I see that **** every other play in Madden. Another stat that would benefit is the QB Air Yards which is how far the ball travels through the air before being caught. It's basically the opposite of Y.A.C. for WR's. The most is Jay Cutler with ***4.5*** yes on avg he only throws the ball 4.5 yards away to a receiver who then takes over the rest. The lowest is Chad Henne with 2.74. Remember Philly having the most Big Plays? Nick Foles is 2nd most with 4.44. See the connection. So if your team has a Vertical-like Offensive System like the Eagles and you got a guy like Foles or Cutler than you should be able to do that. But to balance it the ACC. needs to be re-wired which I'll get to in a second. Most teams in the NFL are either "Run Heavy", aka Run it like 5 or 6 more times than most teams, or they run a modified version of the Erhardt-Perkins System. These are the Bradys, the Romos, the Andrew Lucks that dump off short passes all over the place and have higher completion percentages. That's the NFL. The Short Pass League. This would make a 300+ yard day difficult to come by, which it is. Brady had 6 this year, Stafford 6, Roethlisberger 5, Romo 5. A simple playbook fix is all that would be needed to fix this! Then when you play with Manning, Rogers or Brees, that's when you go ham. They run the same type of Offense but they're so good that they can throw the bomb whenever they want. They have high Comp. % AND high Air Yards. Manning and Brees had 12 and 10 300+ yard passing games this year. Rogers was hurt but probably would have had similar. Manning and Brees are also the ONLY QBs that avg over 300 yards a game. So playbooks to keep yardage down. Now they need to split the field into Zones. Make like green areas under 5 yards and outside of the hash marks like an 80% chance of completion. Aand right down the middle a little harder because Pass Leading is more affected. Then around 10 yards is like 65%, 15 yards like 55% seeing under thrown Targets, Over throws, Bullet Passes that are wide right or left that could have been completed if you didn't throw it so hard. Make touch stuff like that have more of an effect. and anything over 25 yards down the sidelines is like 50-50, over the top like 45% chance. That way you can't have suck *** QBs throwing bombs and racking up TDs and Yardage.

This would literally fix everything. Short, quick passing = less sacks (my main issue) Big play passing has to develop=more sacks. Short passing-less yards, less scores, more punts. Deep Passing-Less completions, less scoring, more punts. Short passing-more plays to move down field, more tackles. Deep Passing-less completions, clock stop, longer games, more tackles. The scoring would go down, the yardage would go down, the completion would go down depending on the Offensive system and the QB, more tackles, more defense.

Now, someone go tell EA all that and we'll be good.
